What Feminism Truly Means ?  & Distorted Direction of Modern Thinking...

Feminism is about making females aware of their equality in society, making them independent, fighting for equal rights at par with men, and uplifting and encouraging suppressed women of society.

But the way women’s thinking is being pushed in the wrong direction and shown as “ideal” these days proves one thing clearly — men themselves have never caused such misery to women as women are causing to themselves today, and will continue to do in the future.

Freedom, Modernity, and Misuse of Feminism

In the name of freedom and modernity, in the name of living a carefree life and being a woman, in the name of sex, abuse, cheating, and being “open-minded” everywhere — always cheating on men, always considering oneself a victim whenever convenient, wearing whatever you like and getting naked in front of anyone — this is the so-called truth of today’s concept of feminist women who are illiterate in thought.

The Real Strength of a Woman

On one hand, a woman takes care of herself and her entire family, forms society, and builds family values. A woman is someone who has the strength to uplift herself and change the entire family towards the right path. But the uneducated youth of today, who are redefining the meaning of feminism in society, are doing nothing but abusing the concept in the name of being open-minded.

Why I Watched This Web Series

I usually don’t make such an effort to write reviews about web series, but this time I couldn’t resist myself.

I started watching it just to see what fun these girls were bringing to the table. I already knew it was about girls chilling around, and Bani was the major reason I even gave it a try.

First Impression: Poor Content and Shallow Writing

Let me be clear — this is an absolute bullshit web

series with very poor content. I’m not being judgmental, but this web series is all about sex, sex, and more sex. Anyone and everyone is randomly having sex as if self-control doesn’t exist. Either these girls are ridiculing men half of the time, or they’re having casual sex, or they’re drunk and smoking weed.

Questionable Portrayal of Motherhood

Kirti Kulhari is shown as a single mother to a small girl. Her husband leaving her for another woman hurts her ego, and under continuous peer pressure from her three stupid friends, she starts making out with her intern. Which mother on earth leaves her little girl alone at home and goes to have sex with her intern?

Double Standards in Character Representation

Then there is the super irritating character Damini. I’ve never seen such a double-standard character in any web series. On one side she abuses men, ridicules them, and claims all men are the same. On the other side, she’s having random sex with anyone — sometimes drooling over her doctor, sometimes with some random guy, and other times with her bartender friend Jeh.

Shallow Character Development

The other two characters look like nothing more than sidekicks. Manvi Gagroo’s character has just one worry in life — losing her virginity. No career ambitions, no growth, just a mission to find a boy and get married.

Is This Really Empowerment?

And this is how they plan to strengthen women? This is the feminism they’re showcasing?

Reality Check: Real Women’s Struggles

Meanwhile, women in villages are still being harassed by their drunkard husbands. They are not aware of their basic rights. They work day and night just to fill their children’s stomachs. Feminism is about making females aware of equality, making them independent, fighting for equal rights, and uplifting suppressed women of society.

What the Series Calls Feminism But no — according to Four More Shots (or rather Four More Shits).  feminism is about:

Sleeping with random guys

Sleeping with one’s doctor

Sleeping with one’s friend

Sleeping with one’s intern

Sleeping with anyone who comes along, as if their world is a porn site

Absolute abuse of alcohol — drinking every day as if there is no tomorrow.

A Harmful Message to Young Minds

There’s a scene where Manvi Gagroo loses her virginity and Bani says, “Finally, you are a woman.” So this is the definition of a woman now? You’re called a woman only after losing your virginity?

They sit on Marine Drive shouting words like “vagina,” “c*** “ kinds and think they’re Bindas and cool. A stupid group of dumb fucked.

Why This Series Angered Me ?

I got so irritated watching this that I wanted to confront the writer. And the reason I’m irritated is simple — youth of my age gets misguided easily. When they watch such web series, they start thinking it’s cool to behave irresponsibly, abuse drugs, and destroy themselves.

Final Verdict.

This is an absolute shit web series with irritating characters.
